Surviving the Nightmare – Rick’s Story
“The zombies here don’t walk—they sprint,” said Rick, tightening his grip on a homemade nail-studded bat. “But I’ve learned to adapt. Now, these nightmares feel more like night safaris.” Rick smiled as he stood over a fallen zombie, proud of the gear he’d crafted under pressure. Surviving on this cursed island wasn’t easy, but it kept him focused—and alive.
“Honestly, when I first landed, I thought this was the real apocalypse,” Rick continued. “Mutants, zombies, and factions of desperate survivors tearing each other apart. We scattered as soon as we hit the beach—no time to prepare. Right away, we were swarmed. These weren’t your average walkers; they moved like Olympic sprinters. I knew this was a one-way trip, so I ditched the mission and started looking for shelter. Turns out, I made the right call. A day later, all comms went dark. I doubt anyone else made it,” he muttered while stitching together a pair of crocodile boots.
“I thought today was my last,” Rick recalled. “A horde broke into the bunker through an open steel door. I hid behind a machine, then bolted outside and locked them in. Beforehand, I shut off the air supply—ha! They suffocated inside, screaming like mad. Imagine my shock when I realized those zombies used to be my own squad members…” He trailed off, grinning as he dragged a cart full of ammo, armor, and rare loot behind him.
