The main goal in Mindi is to capture tricks that contain tens.
This game is also referred to as MindiKot, Mendhi Coat, Mindi Multiplayer, or Dehla Pakad—which translates to "Collect the tens."
Mindi is intended for four players working in pairs, with teammates seated opposite from one another. A standard 52-card deck is used.
The player who draws the highest card becomes the first dealer. After shuffling, the dealer distributes 13 cards to each player around the table.
The game offers two distinct modes for unlimited enjoyment—pick one and start playing.
Hide Mode: The player to the dealer’s right secretly places a card face down on the table, setting the trump suit for that round.
Cut Mode: Play begins without a pre-set trump suit. If a player cannot follow suit, the first suit they play becomes the trump suit for that deal.
Once trump is established, the highest trump card in a trick wins it. If no trump is played, the highest card of the suit led wins the trick. The trick winner leads the next trick, and captured tricks are stored face down by the winning player.
A partnership wins the hand by collecting three or four of the tens. Capturing all four tens is known as a Mendicot.
