Initially known as Among Us VR, the rebranded Among Us 3D promises to deliver an enriched gaming experience with its cross-play multiplayer feature, making it accessible to a wider audience.

Schell Games and publisher Innersloth have been busy enhancing the game's features. Among the new additions is the permanent Tag Mode, which introduces an Infected role, adding a fresh twist to the gameplay. Players can look forward to native proximity voice chat, limited-time events, and both new and returning mini-games. Additionally, a new currency called Stardust has been introduced, which offers players more flexibility in their in-game purchases as it never expires.

It's important to note that Among Us 3D is a standalone game, distinct from the original Among Us VR released in 2022. According to Schell Games' FAQ, this separation allows for continuous updates to Among Us VR while ensuring a high-quality, tailored experience for PC players with Among Us 3D.
