Methods to Obtain Paradisan Ladder:
1. Purchase from Merilyn: Merilyn, a merchant located in South Paradise (see map below), sells Paradisan Ladder directly. She also sells items (Many-Hued Doublet and Common Grimoire of Elements) that can be broken down for additional Paradisan Ladder. Note: Her inventory doesn't respawn.
2. Foraging: Explore the game world. Paradisan Ladder plants are marked on your mini-map with a distinctive plant icon (see image below). Be mindful of similar-looking plants.
3. Side Quests: Many side quests reward crafting materials, including Paradisan Ladder. The early quest "Escape Plan" is one example.
4. Item Deconstruction: Disassemble higher-tier items previously upgraded with Paradisan Ladder to recover some of the material. Check merchant inventories for items with Paradisan Ladder listed in their breakdown components.
5. Downgrading Hylea's Talon: Once you reach Emerald Stair and obtain Hylea's Talon (a higher-tier material), you can downgrade it at your workbench to yield three Paradisan Ladder per Talon. Access the "Downgrade" option within the workbench's crafting menu.
