Today marks the global launch of Alphadia III on Android, the third installment in the beloved Alphadia series. Brought to you by publisher KEMCO and developer EXE CREATE, this game originally debuted in Japan last October. Dive into this new chapter and experience the rich narrative and engaging gameplay that fans have come to expect.
What’s the Story in Alphadia III?
Set in the year 970 of the Alphadian calendar, Alphadia III plunges players into the climactic stages of the Energi War, a sprawling conflict centered around the control of a mysterious life force known as energi. The world is fragmented into three dominant powers: the Schwarzschild Empire to the north, the Nordsheim Kingdom to the west, and the Luminea Alliance to the east, each vying for supremacy.
Amidst this turmoil, the narrative follows a clone soldier named Alfonso. His journey begins with a pivotal moment—a visit from a girl named Tarte, who brings news of another clone's death. This event sparks a profound change in Alfonso, setting him on a path that could alter the course of the war.
What’s the Gameplay Like?
In Alphadia III, players will experience classic turn-based combat from a side-view perspective, rendered in charming pixel art. The game features a range of systems designed to enhance strategic depth. SP Skills, for instance, accumulate during battles and can be unleashed at critical moments to turn the tide of combat.
Another key element is the use of Arrays, which are essentially battle formations and strategies that players unlock as they progress. These allow for varied tactical approaches depending on the enemies faced.
A novel feature introduced in this installment is the Energi Crock. Players can deposit surplus items into it, which over time, generate Energi Elements. These elements can then be exchanged at shops for valuable equipment or other items.
Throughout the game, players will encounter various factions, such as the peacekeeping alliance Deval and the elite Nordsheim military unit Rosenkreutz. Additionally, the game introduces different energi clone models, including the Berger Series from Nordsheim and the Delta Series from Schwarzschild.
Beyond the main storyline, Alphadia III offers a wealth of side content, ensuring hours of additional gameplay. The game is optimized for controller use, enhancing the gaming experience. You can purchase Alphadia III on the Google Play Store for $7.99, or opt for the freemium version, which includes ads.
