Apple has officially greenlit Severance for a third season, continuing the hit sci-fi psychological thriller created by Ben Stiller and Dan Erickson. The show holds the title of Apple TV+'s most-watched series, with its second season being the platform's most-streamed series to date. "Making Severance has been one of the most creatively thrilling experiences I’ve ever had," shared Stiller. "Though I don’t recall it, I’m assured that creating Season 3 will be just as enjoyable—though any recollections of these upcoming events will vanish from my mind forever."
"I couldn’t be more thrilled to reunite with Ben, Dan, the amazing cast and crew, Apple, and the entire Severance team," added Adam Scott, who stars and serves as an executive producer. "Also, quick note—if you happen to run into my ‘innie,’ please keep this under wraps. Much appreciated!"
Season 3 of Severance is available upon request.

Here’s the official synopsis from Apple:
In Severance, Mark Scout (Adam Scott) leads a team at Lumon Industries, where employees have undergone a severance procedure dividing their memories between professional and personal life. As Mark becomes entangled in an unfolding mystery, he must confront the truth about his work—and himself.
Season 2 delves into the dire consequences of tampering with the severance barrier, introducing new series regulars Sarah Bock and Ólafur Darri Ólafsson.
No release date for Season 3 has been announced yet. However, during a recent episode of Jason and Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast, Stiller hinted that the third season won’t endure the same lengthy gap as its predecessor.
"No, the plan isn’t to [wait three years]," Stiller clarified. "Definitely not. We’ll be sharing more details soon. Trust me—it won’t take that long!"
"The writers' and actors' strike delayed production, and it took time to regroup afterward," Stiller explained. "We shot for 186 days on Season 2, which involved extensive filming and editing. Editing, in particular, is quite time-consuming. Thankfully, the audience stayed loyal while we were away."
