A recent Helldivers 2 update, including the long-awaited Illuminate enemy faction, the 4x4 Fast Recon Vehicle, and new urban warfare maps, significantly boosted player numbers on PS5. The surprise release of "Omens of Tyranny" at the 2024 Game Awards further fueled this resurgence.
