- New Friends of Fauna feature now available as an in-game program
- Submit a photo of any animal you love
- One winning image will be transformed into the monthly puzzle
Launched in February, The Art of Fauna has emerged as one of the most elegant and contemplative puzzle games on mobile—a serene blend of vintage wildlife art and modern gameplay. Now, the experience deepens with the introduction of Friends of Fauna, a new community-driven feature available free within the app.
Here’s how it works: each month, players are invited to submit a photograph of any animal—be it a wild species, a service animal, or a cherished pet. From these submissions, one image will be selected and transformed into that month’s official puzzle, celebrating both the animal and the person who captured it. For the inaugural edition, the spotlight shines on a Spectacled Bear, photographed by Denis B. and now featured as the first community-inspired puzzle.
This update also brings personalized app icons honoring key members of the community. Valentin is represented by a Snow Leopard, Vidit and Benedict share a Lion icon, Shiven receives an Orca, and Thomas is symbolized by a Northern Gannet—each a unique tribute to their contributions.
If you haven't yet experienced The Art of Fauna, it's a visually rich puzzle adventure rooted in 18th- and 19th-century naturalist illustrations by pioneers like John James Audubon and John Gould. Each puzzle can be solved either visually or through descriptive text, offering a flexible and educational journey into the animal kingdom.
And it’s more than just a game—every purchase supports global wildlife conservation efforts, adding meaningful impact to every play.
