Assassin’s Creed Shadows Post-Launch Updates
Year 1 Post-Launch Roadmap
With Assassin’s Creed Shadows (AC Shadows) now over a month old, Ubisoft is committed to enhancing the gaming experience with a robust lineup of updates. Announced via their official X (formerly Twitter) account on May 1, the year 1 post-launch roadmap teases a variety of new story and gameplay content.
A highlight of the roadmap is the introduction of new Story Drops, which Ubisoft describes as "multiple free content additions to the game." These Story Drops will enrich the game with new player abilities, introduce new allies, and expand the world with fresh activities. Moreover, each drop will delve deeper into the backstories of beloved characters, offering fans an expanded narrative experience that builds upon the main storyline.
In addition to the free content, Ubisoft is gearing up for the release of their first expansion, titled The Claws of Awaji, slated for later this year. This expansion will transport players to the new region of Awaji Island, accessible after the main game's epilogue. Players can look forward to encountering new enemies, unlocking new abilities for both protagonists, and wielding an exclusive new weapon for Naoe.
The Claws of Awaji DLC comes at no extra cost for those who pre-ordered AC Shadows, but it will also be available for purchase to other players. For more detailed insights into AC Shadows’ DLCs and the full roadmap, be sure to check out our comprehensive article below!
