How to Get Assists in Marvel Rivals
Unlike many games where damage contributes to assists, Marvel Rivals has a stricter definition. The kill/death/assist stats screen shows that damage dealt doesn't count towards assists. To earn an assist, you must directly support your teammates. This means healing, shielding, or incapacitating enemies to set up a teammate for the finishing blow.
This makes healers and tanks the natural assist kings. If you're a damage-dealer, you'll need to adapt your playstyle to complete these challenges. Fortunately, certain characters excel at racking up assists.
Best Characters for Assists in Marvel Rivals
Jeff the Land Shark
While not the most potent Strategist, Jeff's bubbles and stream offer significant healing flexibility. The more you heal allies, the more opportunities they have to secure kills you'll get credit for.
Mantis
