Rebellion Developments, renowned for the Sniper Elite series, ventures into new territory with Atomfall, a first-person survival game set in an alternate, post-nuclear 1960s England. A recently released gameplay trailer offers a compelling glimpse into the game's world and mechanics.

Initially unveiled at Xbox's Summer Game Fest, Atomfall initially flew under the radar amidst larger announcements. However, its intriguing premise and day-one Game Pass inclusion quickly garnered attention.

The seven-minute trailer establishes the game's setting: a desolate England ravaged by nuclear catastrophe. Fans of titles like Fallout and STALKER will find familiar elements in Atomfall's exploration of quarantine zones, villages, and research bunkers. Survival hinges on resource scavenging amidst encounters with robots, cultists, and hazardous environments.

Combat will blend melee and ranged styles. While the trailer showcases a seemingly basic arsenal (cricket bat, revolver, shotgun, bolt-action rifle), it highlights weapon upgrade systems and suggests a broader range of weaponry awaits discovery.
