Avowed: A Solo Fantasy Adventure – No Multiplayer Here
Avowed has been compared to Skyrim, but its gameplay is more akin to Obsidian's The Outer Worlds – a single-player experience. Many players wonder if Avowed offers multiplayer options. The simple answer is no. Avowed does not support multiplayer, neither co-op nor PvP. While you'll have companions, they're all non-player characters (NPCs), mirroring The Outer Worlds' structure. Enemy encounters are also entirely AI-controlled. There are no invasion features or any other form of multiplayer interaction.
Initially, Obsidian planned to include co-op functionality, even using it as a selling point for investors. However, this feature was cut during development due to the team's focus shifting. While this might disappoint some, Avowed's single-player focus arguably enhances its core gameplay.
Currently, there's no indication of a community-created co-op mod for Avowed. While such a mod is theoretically possible, it's a significant undertaking. Furthermore, Obsidian has confirmed they have no plans to add multiplayer post-launch.
In conclusion, Avowed is a strictly solo adventure. There is no multiplayer support.
