Marvel Rivals' Season 1: Unveiling Invisible Woman's Malice Skin and More
Get ready for the debut of Marvel Rivals' first season, "Eternal Night Falls," launching January 10th at 1 AM PST! This major update introduces a wealth of new content, headlined by the highly anticipated Malice skin for Invisible Woman.
This new cosmetic showcases a darker, more villainous side of the iconic hero, mirroring the game's existing Maker skin for Mister Fantastic. The Malice skin features a striking black leather and red accented costume, complete with spiked accents on her mask, shoulders, and boots, and a dramatic split red cape.
Beyond the new cosmetic, Season 1 will also deliver:
- New Maps: Explore fresh battlegrounds.
- New Game Mode: Experience a revamped gameplay dynamic.
- Expansive Battle Pass: Unlock a plethora of rewards.
The Malice skin, reflecting Invisible Woman's darker alter ego from the comics, is a highly anticipated addition. In the comics, Malice represents Sue Storm's inner conflict, a battle for dominance that ultimately led to her purging this darker persona.
NetEase Games recently showcased Invisible Woman's abilities, highlighting her strategic support role. Her kit includes healing allies, providing shields, and deploying an invisibility zone for added protection. She's not just a support character, though; she also possesses offensive capabilities, including a knockback tunnel ability.
The developers have also confirmed that seasons will run approximately three months, with significant mid-season updates around six to seven weeks in. These updates will introduce new maps, characters (including Human Torch and The Thing), and balance adjustments. While Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman launch with Season 1, Human Torch and The Thing will arrive in a later mid-season update.
