Absolute Batman Volume 1: The Zoo, written by celebrated comic book author Scott Snyder and illustrated by Nick Dragotta, collects issues #1–6 and is now available for preorder. The release date is set for August 5.

IGN's Jesse Schedeen spoke with the creators about what's next after wrapping up their debut story arc. Absolute Batman includes teases for iconic foes like Bane and the Joker. Writer Scott Snyder notes, "...this version of the Joker is already truly frightening by the time he crosses paths with Batman. But his dynamic with Batman will evolve significantly as the series continues." We'll have to wait and see how these hints play out.
