NCSoft has made the surprising announcement that its multiplayer MOBA, Battle Crush, will be reaching its End of Service (EOS). This news comes as a shock, especially since the game never made it to its full, polished release. If you recall, Battle Crush had a global test in August 2023 and an early access release in June 2024. However, just a few months later, the game is set to wind down.
When is the Battle Crush EOS?
The game is scheduled to shut down on November 29th, 2024. The in-game shop has already ceased selling items. If you made purchases between June 27th, 2024, and October 23rd, 2024, you are eligible for a refund.
Android and Steam players can initiate their refund requests starting from December 2nd, 2024, through January 2025. As the closure approaches, ensure you download any content you wish to keep by November 28th, 2024, as the game will become inaccessible after that date.
The official Battle Crush website will remain active until May 30th, 2025, which could be useful for any last-minute support. The game's social media accounts and Discord server will be shut down on January 31st, 2025.
Does it Surprise You?
It's always tough when a game you've invested time and strategy into announces its shutdown. Battle Crush players are understandably feeling the impact of this EOS announcement. If you've been following the game, you might have noticed that it faced challenges in terms of gameplay.
The game struggled to find its footing. The mechanics felt somewhat clunky, and the pacing could have been more refined. While Battle Crush was enjoyable, it lacked the polish and finesse needed to sustain long-term engagement, ultimately leading to its EOS.
You can still experience Battle Crush on the Google Play Store before it shuts down completely. Alternatively, stay tuned for our next update on the Autumn Season, which will feature Story-Driven Quests in Black Desert Mobile.
