In a recent tweet, the official Bethesda account teased the upcoming reveal. While the specifics remain under wraps, the prominent "IV" and the background, strikingly similar to iconic Oblivion artwork, strongly hint at what fans can expect.
The buzz around an Oblivion remake has been building for years. Initial whispers turned into solid leaks recently, starting with a 2020 Bethesda release schedule that surfaced during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023, indicating a planned remaster for fiscal year 2022. Though the timeline had passed, making it seem like a potentially canceled project, the rumors gained new life in January of this year with leaks suggesting a full-blown remake in collaboration with Virtuos.
