The Emergence mission in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, a pivotal point in the acclaimed campaign, significantly deviates from the series' typical gameplay. This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough.
Navigating the Kentucky BioTech Facility
The mission begins with Case and Marshall inside a Kentucky BioTech facility, shrouded in toxic gas, necessitating gas masks. An elevator malfunction leads to a fall, gas mask breakage, and subsequent hallucinations. Once regaining control, locate a locked red-lit door. Use a hatchet (found on a mannequin) to force it open. Proceed through the hallway, up the stairs, and to the central elevator.
Accessing the Biotechnology Room
Activating the elevator triggers a zombie transformation of the mannequins. Eliminate them with your hatchet. A phone call directs you to the biotechnology room, requiring four director's cards (Red, Green, Blue, Yellow). You'll receive a map to the Yellow card.
Obtaining the Yellow Card and Grappling Hook
From the security console, follow the map to a yellow staircase. Solve the computer puzzle in the Director's office (answers: "Access" and "Lift"). More zombies await in the A.C.R. room. A mannequin holds the Yellow card, but interacting with it spawns an abomination and zombies. Before engaging, gather armor, weapons, and a crucial grappling hook.
Use tactical explosives (C4 or grenades) to quickly eliminate the abomination and its horde. Retrieve the Yellow card from the abomination's remains.
Acquiring the Green Card
Use the grappling hook to ascend from the A.C.R. room. Locate the grappling point to the left of the elevator (facing it) to reach the Administration Facility. Answer the ringing phone. Find four documents and place them in the file display area. Maneuvering through this section requires speed, as mannequins will pursue you. Their movement is momentarily frozen when you turn.
Document locations: desk corner, left side near round table, small center table, cafe near sink. After placing all documents, grapple the attacking red mannequin repeatedly until it transforms into a Mangler Zombie. Defeat it to obtain the Green Card.
Securing the Blue Card
Grapple across from the Administration balcony to the Joint Projects Facility. Answer the phone. Locate camera stands surrounding a glass chamber to find the Blue Card. Defeating the Mimic (which can disappear; shoot moving objects to reveal it) yields the Blue Card.
Confronting the Mimic
The Mimic's ability to vanish necessitates strategic shooting of seemingly moving objects to trigger its transformation and subsequent defeat.
Retrieving the Red Card
Head to the East Wing (marked on the initial map), following red carpets to stairs. A Mangler is in a room with water and a console. Interact with the console to reveal the Red Card. Use the grappling hook to reach the upper area, jump into the pool, and swim through the red tunnel. Climb the ladders, clear zombies, and unlock the door using the blacklight number.
Turn all drain switches within 25 seconds (one in the initial room, one in the unlocked room, and one accessible via grappling hook). After draining the water, follow the Mangler's path and defeat it along with its zombie horde to acquire the Red Card.
Completing the Mission
Return to the security desk, insert all four cards, and ride the elevator. Eliminate any pursuing zombies. Answer the red phone in the BioTech room, fight the zombies and Disciple, and endure a final hallucinatory sequence to complete the mission.
