Today marks the exciting launch of Season 2 for *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6*, and it comes with a game-changing feature that makes the progression grind smoother than ever. The newly introduced Camo Challenge Tracking feature is a game-changer, and here’s a comprehensive guide to help you understand how it works.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Gives Simple Access to Camo Challenge Progress
The patch notes for the latest update to *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* highlight the new Camo Challenge Tracking system, described as: “The Challenge Tracker makes it easy for players to manually track up to 10 Camo and 10 Calling Card Challenges they’re actively working toward, but there’s another element of this system that we think players will find useful on the journey to Dark Matter, Nebula, and 100 Percenter: Near Completion.”
This innovative feature lets you handpick 10 camos to monitor, providing easy access to your progress during gameplay, eliminating the need to navigate back to the main menu constantly. The tracker also sends notifications about challenges nearing completion, even if they aren't among the ones you've selected to track.

How To Track Camo and Calling Card Challenges in Black Ops 6
To start tracking a challenge, navigate to the specific Camo or Calling Card challenge you want to monitor. Use the Y button on your Xbox controller or the Triangle button on your PlayStation controller to add it to your tracker. This allows you to monitor your progress during live matches in *Black Ops 6*, giving you real-time insight into what you need to do next to unlock the next camo.
Even if you don't manually select a challenge to track, the game automatically populates with the challenges you’re closest to completing. This information is always readily available for you to view, keeping you informed about what you're close to unlocking.
Additionally, the top tracked or nearly complete camo and calling card challenges appear in the *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* lobby within the Daily Challenge section, providing a full list of camos and calling cards that are "near complete" and ready to be unlocked.
The journey to unlocking special camos has been streamlined with the Season 2 update. Previously, you needed to unlock nine military camos to access a special camo. Now, this requirement has been reduced to just five military camos. However, to achieve the coveted mastery camos, you still need to unlock two special camos.
There’s been considerable chatter about the vast number of camos available for each weapon and the challenges in tracking progress and achieving headshots and kills. It appears that Treyarch has taken player feedback to heart, introducing more efficient methods to earn and equip camos, enhancing the overall enjoyment of *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6*.
