Monster Hunter Wilds is set to roll out its first Title Update tomorrow, introducing quests that encourage players to compete for the fastest clear times. In anticipation of this, Capcom has issued a strong statement against cheating, aiming to maintain a fun and fair gaming environment for all.
In a recent post on the Monster Hunter account on X/Twitter, Capcom warned, "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts deemed to be in breach of this may be suspended, or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests." This message underscores Capcom's commitment to integrity within the game.
Not only are cheaters at risk, but Capcom has also cautioned that players who join multiplayer hunts with cheaters could see their quest completion times invalidated and lose the right to rewards. Capcom advised, "Please take caution to avoid playing multiplayer with those who are engaging in prohibited activity, or those you suspect of such," and encouraged reporting any fraudulent activity observed during quests.
The new quests will offer attractive rewards, including cosmetic pendants. Some rewards will be distributed to all participants, while others will be awarded based on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. This makes Capcom's crackdown on cheating and suspicious behavior even more crucial, as it directly impacts the fairness of reward distribution and the integrity of competition times.
These Time-Based Competition Quests will be accessible through the new Arena Quest Counter in the Grand Hub in Suja, introduced with Title Update 1. To participate, players must first complete a special tutorial mission to unlock the Grand Hub. Make sure to head there as soon as Title Update 1 goes live tomorrow in Monster Hunter Wilds.
