Devolver Digital boasts an impressive array of games on Android, including GRIS, Reigns: Her Majesty, Downwell, and Reigns: Game of Thrones, to name a few. The excitement is building as another stellar title, Carrion, is set to join this lineup soon. This 'reverse-horror' game, originally launched for PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One in July 2020, is making its way to mobile devices on October 31st, courtesy of Phobia Game Studio and Devolver Digital.
What’s the Concept of Carrion Mobile?
In Carrion, you embody a creature from a dark nightmare, becoming the horror itself. As a mysterious red blob, you slither, claw, and chomp your way through obstacles and adversaries. This game flips the horror genre on its head; instead of surviving the terror, you are the terror. As The Monster, you're initially confined within a high-security research facility owned by Relith Science.
Scientists have manipulated your DNA in an attempt to control you, but you break free, evolve, and return with a vengeance. Your mission is to escape the facility by any means necessary. As The Monster, you consume scientists, security guards, and anyone else who stands in your way. You navigate through vents, break down doors, and use your tentacles to hunt down your prey. Carrion on mobile, much like its PC counterpart, allows you to unleash a wave of panic and destruction.
As you progress through the facility, you unlock upgrades that enable you to burst through barricades and grow in size, enhancing your terrifying presence. Why not take a moment to watch the game in action?
Will You Pre-Register for the Game?
If you're a fan of Metroidvania-style games, Carrion is sure to captivate you with its blend of exploration and progression. The game's pixel art style adds a unique charm to its gore-filled world. On mobile, you can try Carrion for free, and if you enjoy it, unlock the full game and its DLC with a single in-app purchase. You can pre-register now on the Google Play Store or download it directly on October 31st when it launches.
