Pokémon Go's February Community Day: Karrablast, Shelmet, and Exciting Bonuses!

Get ready for a double feature Community Day in Pokémon Go! The event, running from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time on February 9th, 2025, features Karrablast and Shelmet. These Pokémon will have increased spawn rates in the wild, increasing your chances of encountering their Shiny forms.

Evolving for Advantage:

The real excitement lies in evolution. Evolving Karrablast during the event (or until 10:00 p.m. local time on February 16th) yields an Escavalier knowing the powerful Charged Attack, Razor Shell (35 power in Trainer Battles, 55 power in Gyms and Raids). Similarly, evolving Shelmet within this timeframe grants an Accelgor with the Charged Attack Energy Ball (90 power in all battle types).

Special Research and Timed Research:

A Special Research taskline rewards encounters with Karrablast and Shelmet featuring special Dual Destiny-themed backgrounds, plus a Premium Battle Pass and a Rare Candy XL. A week-long Timed Research event follows the main Community Day, unlocking further encounters with these special Pokémon upon login.
