Naughty Dog, the studio behind iconic PlayStation titles such as Crash Bandicoot and Uncharted, has announced and launched a new bundle for the PlayStation 5 (PS5) titled The Last of Us Complete. This bundle encapsulates both of their critically acclaimed games, The Last of Us Part 1 (2022 remake) and The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, into one comprehensive package for players to enjoy.
The Last of Us Complete: Collector’s Edition - PS5
Priced at $109.99 and available at PlayStation Direct, The Last of Us Complete is described as the complete story that inspired the HBO TV show, featuring enhanced graphical and gameplay improvements thanks to the capabilities of the PS5.
The bundle includes the mainline stories of both games, along with additional content released over the years. This includes the Left Behind prequel DLC focused on Ellie, as well as The Last of Us Part 2’s No Return and Lost Levels content. For fans of the HBO series starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, this digital bundle is available for $99.99.
According to a post on the PlayStation.Blog by Naughty Dog Head of Studio Neil Druckmann, a physical The Last of Us Complete Collector’s Edition is set to launch on July 10 for $109.99, with pre-orders available now. This edition includes a Steelbook case, game discs, The Last of Us: American Dreams comics 1 – 4, four lithographic art prints, and a thank-you letter from Druckmann.
Druckmann expressed gratitude in his post, stating, “From our entire studio, thank you so much for your incredible support for The Last of Us and Naughty Dog over the years. This is such an exciting moment for both the franchise and our teams. We are so humbled by your personal stories of what the series has meant to you, have marveled at your incredible Photo Mode shots, and inspired to keep pushing ourselves forward to create more stories and worlds you’ll love.”
The Last of Us series, which first launched on the PS3 in 2013, has been re-released and remastered multiple times, drawing both praise and criticism. The adventure of Joel and Ellie came to the PS4 with enhanced graphics in 2014 and was remade for the PS5 in 2022. The Last of Us Part 2 continued Ellie’s story in 2020 and received its own remaster in early 2024. Both titles have also been made available on PC, with The Last of Us Part 1 released in 2023 and The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered just last week.
The Last of Us Complete is the latest re-release, coinciding with the premiere of HBO’s The Last of Us Season 2 this Sunday, and the recent greenlighting of Season 3.
