
Skate Playtest Now Available on Consoles!
Exciting news for console gamers! The highly anticipated skate. title, a fresh entry in the beloved Skate franchise, is now available for playtesting on Xbox and PlayStation consoles. While PC players have been enjoying playtests since mid-2022, this marks the first opportunity for console players to experience a new Skate game in over a decade.
The last mainline Skate game, Skate 3, launched in 2010. Despite a dedicated fanbase, the franchise was seemingly put on hold by EA. However, persistent fan support, fueled by the #Skate4 hashtag, ultimately led to the creation of a dedicated development team and the announcement of skate.. Last fall, early access was slated for 2025, and this console playtest is a significant step towards that goal.

A recent video featuring developers confirmed additional Black hairstyle options and playfully addressed the "Fall 2024" playtest announcement. Confirmed as a free-to-play, live-service game, skate. is set in the fictional city of San Vansterdam, a work-in-progress drawing inspiration from various real-world and previous Skate game locations.
