Set a Watch: Digital Edition is now available on Android. Initially announced in March, the game transforms the popular board game into a mobile experience. Acram Digital, the studio behind the adaptation, faithfully preserves the cooperative gameplay of the original.
Acram Digital specializes in converting well-known board games for mobile platforms. Their portfolio includes digital versions of Stone Age, Concordia, and Charterstone. Other titles from the developer include Eight-Minute Empire, Tokaido, and Steam: Rails to Riches.
For those unfamiliar with Set a Watch, it’s a cooperative fantasy adventure board game featuring dice management and roguelite elements. It was designed by Mike Gnade and Todd Walsh, and published by Rock Manor Games in August 2019.
What Is the Story of Set a Watch: Digital Edition?
The game retains its cooperative survival mechanics, where a single misstep could end your entire campaign. You and your team of adventurers must cooperate to eliminate monsters before the Unhallowed are revived.
Your mission is to cleanse nine locations before cultists break the seals containing the malevolent Unhallowed. Failure means darkness will engulf the world. Each night, you embark on a quest to stop an ancient evil from rising again.
As a dice-management game, every turn begins with a roll. You can use the dice to attack enemies directly, activate special skills, or strategically prepare for upcoming challenges.
You are constantly weighing your options. Should you light the campfire now to repel the encroaching shadows, scout ahead to identify future threats, heal your party, or save dice for a crucial confrontation? A single poor decision could lead to your party being overwhelmed.
Players can select from six unique heroes. Mixing and matching these characters allows for varied strategies in each playthrough. Take a look at Set a Watch: Digital Edition in the videos below.
Set a Watch: Digital Edition includes 20 distinct locations, 30 hero abilities, and countless combat scenarios. Download it today from the Google Play Store.
