Koei Tecmo has unveiled a new trailer for Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation PRISM, a romance game spin-off of their popular fighting game franchise.
Launching March 27th on PS5, PS4, and PC, the game will feature a special Asian "global version" with English text support. Players can engage in mini-games, customize character appearances, and soak up the tropical island atmosphere. The developers promise diverse relationship-building mechanics and an immersive romantic storyline.
Venus Vacation PRISM represents a bold departure for Dead or Alive fans, offering a distinct gameplay experience while retaining the series' signature style.
However, even this venture has its limitations, as highlighted by the ongoing battle against fan-created content. Koei Tecmo annually removes approximately 200-300 doujinshi and 2,000-3,000 images featuring the game's characters. The Dead or Alive series, known for its fighting mechanics and attractive female characters often depicted in swimwear, has a significant fanbase that produces "adult" fan content. While appreciating fan art, the developers actively combat the proliferation of unauthorized mature material.
