Publisher Dotemu, in collaboration with studios Guard Crush Games and Supamonks, has announced the upcoming release of Absolum—a thrilling fantasy beat 'em up infused with roguelite elements. Set in the enchanting yet ravaged world of Talamh, the game's narrative unfolds in the aftermath of a devastating magical cataclysm. The inhabitants of Talamh live in fear of magic, a fear that the tyrannical King-Sun Azra manipulates to enslave mages through his oppressive Crimson Order. However, hope emerges as a courageous group of heroes—comprising the necromancer Galandra, the rebel gnome Karl, the mage Brom, and the enigmatic Sidr—rise to challenge his rule.
Players diving into Absolum can anticipate a high-octane experience, featuring upgradable abilities, potent combos, and an array of magical spells. The game accommodates both solo adventurers and those who prefer cooperative play, allowing players to synergize their attacks and execute synchronized strikes for devastating effects.
Enhancing the immersive experience, the game's soundtrack is being composed by a trio of legendary artists: Gareth Coker, renowned for his work on Ori and Halo Infinite; Yuka Kitamura, celebrated for her contributions to Dark Souls and Elden Ring; and Mick Gordon, the mastermind behind the soundscapes of DOOM Eternal and Atomic Heart.
Absolum is slated for release in 2025, and will be available on PS4/5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Get ready to embark on an epic journey through the mystical realms of Talamh and overthrow the tyranny of King-Sun Azra.
