First announced in 2018, the Devil May Cry anime promises an eight-episode first season. While the plot remains shrouded in mystery, it seems the series will focus on Dante, the iconic protagonist from the first three games of the franchise, rather than the more recent Devil May Cry 5. Fans will be delighted to hear that Johnny Yong Bosch, who voices Nero in the video games, will lend his voice to Dante in this animated adaptation.
The last installment in the Devil May Cry video game series, Devil May Cry 5, was released in 2019 and marked a triumphant return for the franchise following a period of dormancy since DmC: Devil May Cry in 2013. Praised as one of the best action games available, it's a must-play, especially if you've been enjoying titles like Ninja Gaiden Black 2.
