Tactical Adventures has released a free demo for Solasta 2, their upcoming turn-based tactical RPG set within the Dungeons & Dragons universe. This sequel to Solasta: Crown of the Magister lets players create a four-hero party and journey through the land of Neokhos, facing an ancient evil while striving for redemption. Choices significantly impact the narrative, offering players considerable freedom in exploration and decision-making.
The demo includes core features from the original Solasta, such as tactical turn-based combat, extensive character customization, and dynamic NPC interactions. A helpful "Helpful Dice" feature, enabled by default, mitigates frustrating unlucky rolls; however, experienced players can disable this option. Strategic use of the environment is key to combat success, adding another layer of tactical depth.
Players can enjoy the demo solo or with friends in cooperative multiplayer, similar to Divinity: Original Sin. The demo provides a taste of the full game’s challenging class-based encounters and intricate gameplay. Tactical Adventures welcomes player feedback to shape the final release.
The game's system requirements are relatively modest: at minimum, an Intel Core i5-8400 CPU, 16 GB of RAM, and either an NVIDIA GTX 1060 or AMD RX 580 GPU are recommended for optimal performance.
