This guide details how to get the Elven ship, Lady Vengeance, sailing in Divinity: Original Sin 2 after escaping Fort Joy. The process involves a puzzle requiring exploration and interaction with various elements on the ship.
Quick Links
After removing your Source collar, your goal is to get the Lady Vengeance underway. This isn't done through conventional means; you must discover a unique method. Explore the ship, speak to NPCs, and gather clues to unlock the ship's controls. The key is accessing Magister Dallis' cabin and obtaining the Ancient Empire Songbook.
Investigate Dead Bodies
Begin by searching the bodies of the magisters and gheists on deck. A Sodden Diary found on a corpse contains a password needed later. You can also obtain the password by successfully completing a skill check with the northern stateroom door. In addition to the password, you'll need a Strange Gem to access the Portside Stateroom. A magic mirror, located south of the stateroom doors, allows for unlimited respeccing, useful for skill checks.
Find the Portside Stateroom
Using the password from the diary (or skill check), enter the ship's quarters. Interact with the unconscious Bishop Alexander to find a Strange Gem within his regalia. Use this gem and the password to unlock the southern stateroom door. Inside Magister Dallis' cabin, you'll find the next crucial item. The cabin also contains a hidden hatch with two gheists and a Teleportation Prism.
Find the Songbook
Inside Magister Dallis' cabin, talk to Tarquin and Dallis, exhausting all dialogue options. Locate the Ancient Empire Songbook on a pedestal. Reading it reveals the song needed to move the ship. It's advisable to speak to all NPCs before setting sail, as interaction opportunities will be lost once the ship departs.
Set Sail
Return to the deck and speak to Malady. She'll ask you to sing the song. Find the dragon figurine to the west of the deck and choose the option to sing. The Lady Vengeance will begin moving. Be prepared for an immediate ambush by powerful magisters after setting sail. Ensure your party is adequately prepared for a challenging battle.
