As a lifelong Nintendo enthusiast, the thought of missing this potential Donkey Kong masterpiece for a year finally pushed me to purchase.

My Donkey Kong journey began during the Super Nintendo era. Donkey Kong Country offered both challenge and fun, consuming countless hours with my brother. Donkey Kong 64 followed – Nintendo's groundbreaking 3D entry that required the Expansion Pak – becoming one of my most cherished childhood gaming memories.
This nostalgia certainly accelerated my Switch 2 purchase, but why resist occasional magic? Despite post-launch stock shortages, I luckily secured Target's Mario Kart bundle. Reports also suggest Amazon is sending purchase invitations.

Initially indifferent, Nintendo's Bananza-focused Direct revealed the Mario Odyssey team's involvement, piquing my interest. IGN's authoritative review – from trusted Nintendo experts – solidified my excitement.
Much like Odyssey's joyful exploration, Bananza promises to satisfy dormant Donkey Kong cravings I never knew persisted. The prospect of smashing through environments with DK's signature strength delivers nostalgic thrills I eagerly anticipate.
Unfortunately, my Switch 2 arrives three days post-Bananza delivery. Until then, I'll be admiring the game case while counting down.
