Bethesda and id Software showcased a new DOOM: The Dark Ages demo during the Xbox showcase, confirming earlier leaks of a May 15th release date.
Transporting players to a medieval setting, The Dark Ages offers a distinct gameplay experience from DOOM: Eternal. Instead of frenetic parkour, players will adopt a more grounded, tank-like approach, wielding a powerful arsenal to obliterate demons.
Central to this destructive arsenal are a shield and mace. A unique addition is the inclusion of a giant mech, providing players with a powerful advantage against smaller demons. Furthermore, the campaign will feature dragon riding sequences.
The game boasts a customizable difficulty system, allowing players to fine-tune the challenge by adjusting enemy damage and other parameters.
