If you enjoyed playing Dungeons of Dreadrock, chances are you're a big fan. The puzzle video game by indie developer Christoph Minnameier now has a sequel—Dungeons of Dreadrock 2: The Dead King’s Secret—which launched on Nintendo Switch in November. And soon, it's coming to mobile!
Dungeons of Dreadrock 2 is the second chapter in the Dungeons of Dreadrock trilogy, scheduled for release on Android on December 29. That’s two years after its predecessor arrived on mobile. So what’s different this time around? Let’s take a look.
It’s The Dead King’s Secret
If you missed the original, here's a quick recap. Set in the Nordic-inspired world of Dreadrock Mountain, you followed a determined young woman on a mission to save her brother. She explored countless caves, navigating treacherous passages to find him and bring him home safely.
In Dungeons of Dreadrock 2, you become the priestess of the Order of the Flame. Your quest is to uncover the Crown of Wisdom, hidden deep inside Dreadrock Mountain.
The sequel builds on the first game’s story. The original heroine returns, and this time you’ll learn more about her background and the secret role she played in past events.
You'll face 100 handcrafted levels filled with tricky puzzles, dangerous traps, and spooky enemies. There’s no inventory management or random number generation—only an occasional hint system when you're really stuck. Movement is tile-based, so every move counts.
Dungeons of Dreadrock 2 Is Now Up for Pre-Registration
If you love puzzle games that challenge your logic and offer a bit of dungeon crawling, give Dungeons of Dreadrock 2 a try. It's now available for pre-registration on Android, so head over to the Google Play Store to sign up.
Visually, the sequel stays true to its origins, reusing assets from the first game while introducing new monsters and mechanics. See for yourself below!
