Star Wars Celebration has unveiled thrilling new details about an upcoming update for *Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run*, themed around *The Mandalorian* and Grogu. This update will coincide with the release of the new *The Mandalorian & Grogu* movie and is set to launch on May 22, 2026. In this update, Engineers will have the unique opportunity to take care of Grogu, adding a new layer of interactivity to the experience. Additionally, guests will be able to explore the iconic planet of Coruscant, alongside familiar locations like Tatooine, Bespin, and Endor, as part of a choose-your-own-adventure-style storyline.
The narrative of this update diverges from the movie's plot but will still prominently feature Din Djarin and Grogu. The story kicks off with Hondo Ohnaka learning of a clandestine deal on Tatooine between former Imperial officers and pirates. This sets the stage for an exhilarating chase across the galaxy, where guests will join forces with Mando and Grogu to pursue the culprits and claim a bounty in a dynamic, galaxy-spanning adventure.

While full details are yet to be revealed, it's clear that Engineers will play a more significant role, especially in caring for Grogu. This adds an exciting new dimension to the experience.
In an exclusive interview, Walt Disney Imagineering's Asa Kalama provided further insights into what fans can expect. "Throughout the mission, we're going to be giving the engineers the opportunity to actually get to communicate with Grogu," Kalama explained. "So, we think it's going to be a ton of fun. There may be times when Mando has to deboard the Razor Crest and Grogu, left to his own devices, might get a little happy on the control panel. So, we love the idea of there being these fun little vignettes and moments where you're sort of on the comm with Grogu."
Regarding the choose-your-own-adventure aspect, Kalama noted, "There will be a critical moment in your adventure where you are strapped for time and have to make a lightning quick decision about which of our particular bounties we want to pursue. And that's going to be the sort of inciting incident that allows us to decide which are the different destinations we go to."
