Fallout Series Renewed for S2, Production Commences Soon

Filming for Amazon Prime's live-action adaptation of Fallout season two commences this November, following the successful debut of season one in April. Leslie Uggams, reprising her role as Betty Pearson, confirmed the start date to Screen Rant. While the full cast hasn't been officially announced, Ella Purnell (Lucy MacLean) and Walton Goggins (Cooper "The Ghoul" Howard) are expected to return. Uggams hinted at exciting developments for her character, teasing surprises for fans. A tentative release date is projected for 2026, considering the production timeline and post-production work, though an official date remains unconfirmed.

The narrative will reportedly continue exploring Vault-Tec's role and resolve the season one cliffhanger. Show producer Graham Wagner revealed a significant plot point: the story heads to New Vegas, introducing Robert House, the antagonist from Fallout: New Vegas, whose involvement was subtly hinted at in season one flashbacks. Wagner and showrunner Robertson-Dworet plan to expand on untold stories, pivotal moments from season one, and delve deeper into the origins of the Great War, featuring more flashbacks and character development.
