Final Fantasy VII Rebirth PC Specs Demand High-End Hardware for 4K
Square Enix has released updated PC specifications for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, highlighting the need for powerful hardware, especially for 4K resolution. Two weeks ahead of the PC launch, the updated requirements emphasize a high-end graphics card with 12-16GB VRAM as recommended for 4K gameplay.
The game will leverage DLSS upscaling, Shader Model 6.6 support, and DirectX 12 Ultimate. This PC port follows the PS5 release and a subsequent PS5 Pro enhancement patch, but unlike Final Fantasy VII Remake, will not receive any initial DLC. Square Enix has confirmed its focus is currently on Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3.
While some initial PC specs were revealed earlier, Square Enix has clarified the graphics card requirements. A minimum of 12-16GB VRAM is now explicitly recommended for 4K resolution. Other minimum requirements include a 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 OS, 155GB of SSD storage, and 16GB of RAM. Recommended CPU options include the AMD Ryzen 5 5600 or higher, while the GPU requirements range from an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or equivalent (with caveats for 4K).
