Final Fantasy VII Remake and Rebirth have received updates that fix the controller issue

Patches for Final Fantasy VII Remake are now available on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the PlayStation 5. This update resolves controller vibration issues stemming from motor malfunctions. The game follows Cloud Strife, a former SOLDIER, as he joins Avalanche to thwart Shinra Electric Power Company's plan to destroy the planet.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the sequel continuing the story after the escape from Midgar, receives update 1.080. This update enhances the game's atmosphere and realism, improving the haptic feedback. The PC version launches January 23, 2025. This second installment in the trilogy expands the narrative and emphasizes exploration.

Despite a slow start and ultimately missed sales projections for Final Fantasy XVI (released May 2024), Square Enix refrained from disclosing specific sales figures. Similarly, sales data for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth has been withheld, though it also fell short of internal targets.

The company clarified that they don't consider the sales of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth a complete failure, and remain confident that Final Fantasy XVI can still meet its projected goals within the next 18 months.
