NetEase Games unveiled their charming life simulation game, Floatopia, at Gamescom. Expected to launch on multiple platforms, including Android, sometime in 2025, Floatopia offers a unique sky-bound island experience.
A Whimsical Post-Apocalyptic World
The game's trailer depicts a world ending, but not in the catastrophic sense. Think "My Time at Portia," not "Fallout." Players inhabit a world of floating islands, quirky characters with varying degrees of superpowers, and the potential for unexpected discoveries.
Island Life and Beyond
As the Island Manager, you'll cultivate crops, fish amongst the clouds, and personalize your floating home. Explore exotic locations, meet new characters, and host island parties. Multiplayer is optional, allowing for solitary or social gameplay. The inhabitants possess unique personalities and, intriguingly, superpowers, adding a layer of depth to interactions.
While a precise 2025 release date remains unconfirmed, pre-registration is available on the official website.
