This deluxe version not only preserves the original narrative but enhances it with a new afterword by Miéville himself and a series of captivating illustrations by artist Doug Bell. Bell's contributions include 8 black and white chapter opening images, 12 full-color illustrations, and an intricately detailed map of the fictional city of New Crobuzon.
