Tracking Your Fortnite Spending: A Comprehensive Guide
Want to know exactly how much you've spent on Fortnite skins and V-Bucks? It's easier than you think, though it requires a little diligence. This guide outlines two methods to track your Fortnite expenditures, helping you stay on top of your in-game spending.
Why Track Your Spending?
While small purchases might seem insignificant, they can quickly add up. Unexpectedly high spending can lead to unpleasant surprises when reviewing your bank statements. Knowing your total spending allows for better budgeting and avoids potential financial shocks.
Method 1: Checking Your Epic Games Store Account
All V-Buck purchases are recorded in your Epic Games Store account, regardless of your platform or payment method. Here's how to check:
- Visit the Epic Games Store website and log in.
- Click your username in the top right corner.
- Select "Account," then "Transactions."
- On the "Purchase" tab, scroll through your transaction history, clicking "Show More" as needed.
- Identify entries labeled "5,000 V-Bucks" (or similar) and note the corresponding currency amount.
- Manually sum the V-Bucks and currency amounts separately to determine your total spending.
Important Considerations:
- Free weekly games from the Epic Games Store will also appear in your transactions. You'll need to distinguish these from your Fortnite purchases.
- V-Buck card redemptions might not display a dollar amount.
Method 2: Utilizing Fortnite.gg
A helpful alternative is the website Fortnite.gg. While it doesn't automatically track your purchases, you can manually input your acquired items to calculate your spending.
- Go to Fortnite.gg and log in (or create an account).
- Navigate to "My Locker."
- Manually add each outfit and cosmetic item by clicking on it and then "+ Locker." You can also search for items.
- Your locker will then display the total V-Buck value of your purchased items.
- Use a V-Buck to dollar converter (easily found online) to get an approximate dollar amount.
Neither method is perfectly automated, but both provide effective ways to track your Fortnite spending.
Fortnite is available on various platforms, including Meta Quest 2 and 3.
