Free Fire, Garena's wildly popular mobile battle royale game, continues its global esports expansion with a $1 million prize pool as it returns to Riyadh for the Esports World Cup 2025. This blockbuster title is back as part of a multi-year partnership with the EWC, guaranteeing fans another spectacular event in 2026.
First, the focus is on this summer's competition, where 18 of the world's top Free Fire teams will battle for a share of the $1 million prize. The tournament runs from July 16th to 20th, starting with a group stage divided into three groups of six.
The top twelve teams advance to the Point-Rush stage before entering the Grand Final, which uses a match point format to determine the ultimate champion. An additional $10,000 MVP bonus is available for the best individual performance throughout the event.

If you followed last year's event, you'll remember Team Falcons' incredible victory. They are returning after a stunning 2024 run where they became the first Free Fire champions crowned at the Esports World Cup. Despite a slow start in the Point-Rush stage, they delivered under pressure, securing two crucial Booyahs in the finals to claim the trophy and a spot at the World Series in Rio.
