In Freedom Wars Remastered, your journey begins with a daunting one million-year prison sentence, simply for being born. As you strive to reduce this sentence, another crucial goal is to elevate your CODE level, which significantly enhances your life as a sinner.
Your CODE level unlocks various Entitlements, which can simplify gameplay by allowing you to run longer or by upgrading your comrades and gear, making battles against Abductors much more manageable. Let's dive into the specifics of CODE levels and how you can progress through them.
How Many CODE Levels Are In Freedom Wars Remastered
In Freedom Wars Remastered, there are a total of eight CODE levels that players can advance through. Once you elevate your CODE level, there's no going back, so you don't have to worry about accidentally increasing your sentence beyond what's required for your current CODE, especially in Deadly Sinner Mode. Each advancement in your CODE level grants access to more Entitlements to purchase and additional operations to tackle.
How To Increase Your CODE Level In Freedom Wars Remastered
To check the conditions for upgrading your CODE level, simply talk to your Accessory in your cell and select "Check CODE Upgrade Conditions". Typically, you'll need to reach a specific year milestone in your prison sentence and unlock certain Entitlements. It's wise to review this menu regularly to avoid spending all your Entitlement Points on less beneficial upgrades, as you might need to donate resources to acquire more points later.
Donating a single high-end resource or weapon can often provide enough points for numerous Entitlements.
While fulfilling these conditions is necessary to rank up your CODE, your current CODE level is also intricately linked to the main storyline. You must complete main story missions and operations, along with meeting those conditions, to pass the CODE exam, which is part of the narrative. Occasionally, the main story itself may serve as a substitute for the CODE exam, facilitating your advancement to the next level.
Operations are categorized by CODE levels, serving as a general indicator of difficulty. You'll complete most operations as you progress through the story within a CODE level. However, some optional operations may become available after you advance, offering additional support for those who might need more preparation before tackling the challenges of their new CODE level.
