PlayStation and Sucker Punch Productions have officially announced the release date for the much-awaited sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, titled Ghost of Yōtei. On April 23, a new trailer named "The Onryō’s List" was unveiled, showcasing thrilling story elements and gameplay footage. The trailer culminates with the confirmation of the release date: October 2, 2025.

Set in the heart of Ezo (present-day Hokkaido), Ghost of Yōtei follows the gripping tale of Atsu, who is on a relentless quest for vengeance against the notorious Yōtei Six. This group of outlaws, consisting of The Snake, The Oni, The Kitsune, The Spider, The Dragon, and Lord Saito, brutally murdered her family and left her for dead. Atsu's mission is to track down and eliminate each member of the Yōtei Six.

This standalone sequel is set 300 years after the events of Ghost of Tsushima. Earlier this year, the developers shared insights into the game's new features, which include an array of innovative weapons, fresh mechanics, and more, all designed to build upon the legacy of its predecessor.
