The highly anticipated Godzilla skin, slated for release in Fortnite on January 17th, has had its details prematurely revealed via online leaks. Epic Games recently deployed an update containing the January 17th content, allowing dataminers to uncover the specifics of the Monsterverse collaboration.
Beyond the standard Godzilla skin obtainable through the battle pass, players can acquire Mechagodzilla and Kong skins from the in-game store. This bundle will also include unique jetpacks and pickaxes designed to complement both skins.
A new boss event will launch concurrently on January 17th. One player will transform into a colossal Godzilla, wielding atomic breath and other signature abilities. Players must collaborate to defeat this formidable foe. The player inflicting the most damage will receive a medallion granting a unique in-game ability.
The Mechagodzilla and Kong bundle will arrive in the Fortnite store at the usual time, priced as follows:
- Kong: 1500 V-bucks
- Mechagodzilla: 1800 V-bucks
- Two pickaxes: 800 V-bucks each
- One emote: 400 V-bucks
- Two wraps: 500 V-bucks each
- Complete Bundle: 2800 V-bucks
Furthermore, Fortnite's ongoing roster of celebrity and artist collaborations hints at a potential appearance by the popular Vocaloid, Hatsune Miku. Social media interactions between the official Hatsune Miku account (reporting a missing backpack) and the Fortnite Festival account (confirming possession of the backpack) have fueled speculation.
Beyond the base Vocaloid skin, a stylized pickaxe and a "Miku the Catgirl" skin variant are anticipated, along with a virtual Hatsune Miku concert.
