To celebrate the release of the Gothic 1 Remake demo, "Nyras Prologue," THQ Nordic and Alkimia Interactive have unveiled a new trailer. Unlike the original Gothic, where you played as the Nameless Hero, this demo lets you experience the game as Nyras, a prisoner fighting for survival in the same unforgiving world.
Released during the Steam Next Fest, the Gothic Remake demo shattered concurrent player records for the entire series:

The demo showcases the remake's stunning visuals, enhanced animations, and a revamped combat system powered by Unreal Engine 5. While the prologue offers a taste of the game, it naturally doesn't fully represent the expansive freedom and deep RPG mechanics players will find in the complete version.
Gothic Remake is slated for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam and GOG). A release date is yet to be announced.
