Lenovo has put an end to the swirling rumors about a potential PC port of Halo 5: Guardians. The excitement was sparked by a promotional image for the Lenovo Legion Go S, which suggested that the game might be coming to Steam. However, Lenovo's senior community manager, Ben Green, quickly clarified that the image was merely a mockup design, not a leak of any upcoming release. Despite the image still being available on Lenovo's site, Green confirmed that it was being reviewed by their design team.
With the release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC, Halo 5: Guardians stands out as the only mainline title in the series yet to make its way to the platform. This absence is particularly noticeable for PC gamers eager to experience the complete Halo saga without needing an Xbox One. Interestingly, a PC version of the Forge editor for Halo 5: Guardians was released back in 2016, but the full game has not followed suit. Despite numerous rumors over the years, there has been no official confirmation of a PC port.
While Lenovo's clarification might disappoint those hoping for a PC release of Halo 5: Guardians, it's not the end of the road. Microsoft's increased focus on PC gaming in recent years could still pave the way for a future release. However, as of now, there is no solid evidence to suggest that Halo 5: Guardians will be coming to PC anytime soon.
