The Star Wars Celebration event has officially confirmed Hayden Christensen's return as Anakin Skywalker in Ahsoka Season 2.
While details about Anakin's role remain sparse, fans can rejoice knowing Ahsoka's journey with her former Jedi Master continues.
Christensen made a surprise appearance at the Ahsoka panel, sharing his thoughts on reprising the iconic role. "It was a dream come true," the actor revealed. "The brilliant concept of exploring the World Between Worlds made the experience incredibly exciting."
Showrunner Dave Filoni humorously admitted the creative lengths taken for this reunion: "I literally invented new dimensions just to work with Hayden again."
The actor also discussed delving deeper into Anakin's Clone Wars era: "While the animated series covered this period well, bringing it to live-action was thrilling. Though I'll always cherish the classic Jedi robes, giving Anakin a fresh visual identity was particularly exciting."
Filoni highlighted how their mutual experiences working with George Lucas shaped Anakin's return. "Our shared history allowed us to complete each other's understanding of the character," he explained.
"George's voice still echoes in my mind - 'Faster! More intense!'" Christensen added with a laugh.
