The Big News: Trinkets!
Trinkets are the stars of Season 8, offering powerful upgrades. There are 56 Lesser Trinkets and 60 Greater Trinkets, with the possibility of receiving duplicates. These buffs appear on turns 6 and 9, presenting 4 choices each time. Importantly, Trinkets are tailored to your hero and current board composition, ensuring a strategic advantage regardless of your chosen minion type (Elementals, Dragons, Murlocs, etc.).
Meet Marin the Manager: The New Hero
Introducing Marin the Manager, the newest Battlegrounds hero! Marin offers a significant advantage: he allows you to acquire a Trinket one turn earlier than usual. This gives you a head start on your opponents, making him a potentially game-changing addition. See Marin in action here:
Minions and Spells: A Refreshing Roster
Season 8 sees a rotation of minions: 41 minions are leaving, while 22 fan favorites return. Adding to the mix are 27 brand-new minions and 2 exciting Tavern spells. This refresh ensures a dynamic and evolving meta.
Four New Cards to Master
Four new cards are entering the fray:
- Free Travel Winner (Tier 2): A 2/2 minion that disappears after surviving a combat, rewarding you with a Triple Reward.
- Inspiring Underdog (Tier 4): Provides a boost to your lower-tier minions.
- Lucky Egg (Tier 5): Transforms into a Golden Tier 3 minion.
- Sun Screener (Tier 6): A 10/1 minion granting Divine Shield to your three leftmost minions and your opponent's.
Marin Resort's Treasure Hunt Event
From August 27th to September 17th, participate in the Marin Resort's Treasure Hunt event! Complete the Event Quests to earn a total of 14 packs, including rewards from Perils in Paradise and Whizbang's Workshop.
