Morefun Studios' highly anticipated 3D action brawler, previously known as Hitori no Shita: The Outcast, is back with a new name and release date! Now titled The Hidden Ones, this game is set to launch in 2025, with a pre-alpha test slated for January.
Based on the popular webcomic, The Hidden Ones follows Zhang Chulan, a young martial artist who discovers his grandfather's unique fighting techniques are highly sought after in the world of martial arts. He's about to find himself in very high demand.
A recently released gameplay trailer showcases impressive visuals and action sequences, including the secondary protagonist, Wang Ye. The trailer highlights dynamic parkour elements, such as traversing buildings while evading attacks, alongside classic 3D martial arts combat, energy projectile usage, and intense brawling.
A New Identity
Information on The Hidden Ones has been scarce, adding to the confusion surrounding the game's multiple names. Despite this, the game promises an impressive experience, particularly its darker, grittier aesthetic, a refreshing change compared to other 3D ARPGs.
The game's success, however, will depend on its ability to attract players unfamiliar with the source material.
