WB Games has a thrilling announcement for fans of the Harry Potter universe: starting this Thursday, Hogwarts Legacy will support mods on PC. This feature will be a standout addition in an upcoming patch, available for download on both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
The update introduces the Hogwarts Legacy Creator Kit, empowering enthusiasts to craft new content such as dungeons and quests, and to customize characters. The renowned platform CurseForge will manage and distribute these user-generated mods. Additionally, Hogwarts Legacy will feature a mod manager, enabling players to easily discover and install mods that catch their eye.
On launch day, several pre-approved mods will be ready, including the "Dungeon of Doom." This new dungeon offers gamers a challenging experience with numerous enemies and hidden secrets to uncover. However, there's an important caveat: to access mods, players must link their accounts to a WB Games account.
The patch also enhances character customization with new hairstyles and additional outfits. The developers have highlighted these modding possibilities in the trailer.
Looking ahead, Warner Bros. Discovery is actively developing the second part of the adventure game, which they have identified as a top priority for the coming years.
