Honkai: Star Rail's Version 2.6 update, "Annals of Pinecany's Mappou Age," launches October 23rd, transporting players to Penacony and its vibrant Paperfold University.
This update features a bustling campus atmosphere, complete with club recruitment drives, musical performances, and academic events. The spotlight, however, shines on Rappa, a new 5-star Galaxy Ranger character with a ninja flair. Employing "ninjutsu," mantras, scrolls, graffiti, and rap, Rappa pursues the villainous Evil Ninja Osaru. Her ultimate attack, Sealform Ningu: Demonbane Petalblade, offers a first-person perspective, allowing players to decimate foes and significantly reduce their Toughness.
Version 2.6 also introduces the "Sound Hunt Ninjutsu Inscription" event, where players manage a band for the Dreamlight Anniversary music party alongside Rappa. Limited-time character banners feature the return of 5-star characters Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae, Acheron, and Aventurine during the update's two halves.

The Simulated Universe receives a substantial expansion, introducing the third DLC, "The Unknowable Domain," a massive void linked to post-Second Emperor's War conflicts surrounding the powerful Scepter system. Players must collect and upgrade Scepters, leveraging synergies to overcome a challenging final boss.
